IL-2 GUNNERY PRACTICE

The designer of the IL series of ground
attack aircraft called it a "flying
tank." The pilots who flew it called it
"the hunchback" and were in love with
it's ruggedness, simple design, and
ability to take punishment. The engine
and cockpit were enclosed in a armored
shell (bronekorpus) which was relatively
light but effective. "In it," wrote A.N.
Yefimov, "you felt protected against all
dangers..."

                    YOUR MISSION

As you approach the target, four Bf 109s
circle apprehensively. Perfect your
deflection shooting techniques on these
enemy targets. For an accurate
deflection shot, you must shoot at the
point in space where the enemy plane will
be when your bullets reach it.

Your IL-2/M3 cannot be damaged and has
unlimited ammunition.

Your mission will not end automatically.
You must choose to quit. Please see
your reference guide for instruction
on how to quit, as well as information
on other controls.
