OPERATION FLAX

An elaborate Allied air program to choke
off the Axis air resupply lines began on
the 5th of April 1943. Known as
"Operation Flax," it involved the hunting
down of the Axis air transports, and
later in the day B-17s conducted the
bombing of any that survived at the Tunis
and Bizerte airfields. This program
eventually led to the mass downings of
the Me323 "Gigant" transports on the 18th
and 22nd of April.

MISSION

As a member of the 301st Bomber Group,
your mission is to destroy as many
buildings and planes at the Tunis
airfield as possible. Some surviving
transports from the fighter sweeps
earlier in the day should be there.

NOTES

This is a day mission.
