INTERCEPT B-17S HEADING FOR BERLIN

With the allied air forces becoming
stronger and stronger in 1943 and 1944
the German High Command ordered that all
fighter units have to fly not one mission
a day but land and refuel their planes and
fly two or three missions a day! It was
hoped that this way the enemy bombers
would be harrassed all their way through
Germany back to the Channel coast.
However this began to wear down the German
fighter units even more, especially when
allied escort fighters were operating at
greater range. There were also unbe-
lievable difficulties for ground personnel,
organisation, communication etc.

YOUR MISSION

This is part one of a great two-part
mission!
Take off from Bremen airfield and lead
your flight of three FW 190s along the
waypoints, climbing to 30000 feet. If
you see any enemy aircraft begin your
attack immeadetly. When your ammunition
is exhausted or you are low on fuel,
head back to Bremen airfield and land
in order to have your aircraft repaired,
refueled and rearmed.
Then load custom mission INTCPT0B to
take off again and to intercept the
remaining allied aircraft which by then
will be heading back to England.
