                                AR-234 C-3

         Soon after the arrival of the AR-234 'B' series, the C
       sub-variants of the war's first jet bomber were making their
       first test flights. After it became apparent the basic airframe
       of the Blitz could handle more power than was offered by two
       Junkers Jumo 004s, The AR-234 C programme was initiated in
       mid-1944. The first prototype, the V19, made its first flight
       in September, and was fitted with four BMW 003 turbojets paired
       in single nacelles slung under the wing.
         Production was to have centered on the AR-234 C-3, an all
       purpose attack plane serving in bombing, strike, and night
       fighting roles. In addition to the same basic armament
       as the B-series, the C-3 carried an extra pair of MG 151
       forward firing cannons.
         Development of this version was seriously hampered by the
       continued Allied bombing of Arado factories, and only a hand-
       ful of C models rolled off the assembly lines. None were
       delivered to Luftwaffe units.

       HOW TO USE THIS PLANE
       ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
       1. Use the DOS COPY command to make a backup of the Bf-109G-6.
          In the SWOTL\AC subdirectory, type:
             COPY BF109G6.SPC BF109G6.ORI
       2. Then COPY AR234C.EXP BF109G6.SPC
          If you have SWOTL Manager, disregard steps 1 & 2, and just
          COPY or MOVE the AR234C.EXP and AR234C.TXT files into the
          SWOTL\HANGAR subdirectory.
       3. COPY or MOVE the AR234.INT and AR234GUN.INT files into the
          over another.
          ***NOTE*** This plane uses the Do-335 AND He-162 cockpit
            graphics. If you do not have the Do-335 and He-162 add on
            disks, copy the enclosed ALTERN8.INT file over AR234.INT
       4. To use the rear-firing guns, press the 'G' key anytime
          during flight.
