        EXPLANE1.ZIP -- Some experimental "what-if?" planes for SWOTL
           Copyright(C)1994 by: Steven "OverKill" Hildebrand, Esq.
        =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=

None of these planes are based in historical fact. I made them up because it
suited me to do so. I have only altered the ordnance loadouts and armor on
the fuel tanks and engines. Performance specs were left stock.

P80D1.EXP   = P80-D1 Shooting Star  (Ground-Attack variant)
P80D2.EXP   = P80-D2 "The Flying Buzzsaw"
HE162A2.EXP = HE162-A2 Volksjaeger
ME262A3A.EXP= ME262-A3

How to use these files: Copy them into the C:\SWOTL\AC direktory. Make sure
to rename the existing *.SPC files in the \SWOTL\AC direktory to a .BAK
extension before doing the following below

Examples:

COPY P80D1.EXP C:\SWOTL\AC\P80.SPC /V
COPY P80D2.EXP C:\SWOTL\AC\P80.SPC /V
COPY HE162A2.EXP C:\SWOTL\AC\HE162.SPC /V
COPY ME262A3A.EXP C:\SWOTL\AC\ME262A.SPC /V

P80-D1: Not a historically real plane, to the best of my knowledge. Dunno how
        how far the P-80/F-80 program went, so I called this the "D1" model.
        Beefed up the armor on the fuel tanks and the engine, but not wildly
        so. Speed Brakes are functional. Loadouts have been heavily altered
        though. Same (6)x.50cal guns but ammo increased from 250 to 400rds.
        Good for ground attack missions. The internal .50cal guns fire with
        a narrow twin tracer pattern. The optional centerline 20mm cannon
        fires with a single tracer. (Just in case you get confused)

        Center Rack: 200gal Drop Tank / 1x2000lb Bomb
                     Hispano 20mm Cannon x 150rds

        Inner Rack:  2x1000lb Bomb / 6xBazooka Rockets

        Outer Rack: 6xBazooka Rockets / 2x165gal Drop Tanks

P80-D2: This is kinda like the "Nightmare" difficulty level in DOOM -- not
        even remotely fair! I call this one the "Flying Buzzsaw." With
        (8).50cal machine guns (425rds) & a Hispano 20mm Cannon (200rds) in
        nose, anything getting in front of this Beast-Plane is gonna get
        shredded Muy Rapido. In the air, on the ground - whatever/wherever,
        it's TOAST! Armor and tracer patterns are same as the -D1 model.
        Loadouts are as follows:

        Center Rack: 1x2000lb Bomb / 200gal Drop Tank

        Inner Rack:  2x1000 Bombs / 6xBazooka Rockets

        Outer Rack: 6xBazooka Rockets / 2x65gal Drop Tanks

HE162-A2: I like the Volksjaeger, but it's so undergunned as to be nearly
          useless against bombers. Now it packs more of a punch. Gave it an
          onboard MG151 15mm Cannon(200rds) and beefed up the armor on the
          fuel tank. Internal Cannon fires with single tracer pattern,
          Centerline Cannons fire with narrow double tracer.

          Centerline: Mk103 30mm Cannon (70rds) / Mk151 20mm Cannon (125rds)

          Inner Rack: 2x79gal Drop Tanks

          Outer Rack: None

ME262A-3A: I modified the ME-262 to have more of a bomber capability, since
           that's what Der Furher wanted. Swapped the 100-round Mk108 30mm
           nose cannons for 120-round Mk103's, which have longer range &
           higher muzzle velocity. Added armor to the fuel tanks and engines
           and enabled the air brakes. External loadouts are:

           Centerline: 2x551lb Bombs / 1x1102lb Bomb / 1x79gal Drop Tank

           Outer Rack: (4)R4M Rockets / 2x551lb Bombs / 2x79gal Drop Tanks
