Windows 3.11 Video Drivers

These drivers are intended for the following
video card family:
- ATI Mach64 & Compatibles

With some tailoring it will work with an
- ATI 3D Rage Pro Turbo AGP

There are 7 files in the directory:
README.TXT - This file

64VBE221.EXE - DOS VESA Compatibilty tools
64W31303 - Windows 3.x drivers v3.03
UTL-314.EXE - Mach64 Utilities/Diagnostics

The following three files are renamed
system.ini files, cut and paste the relevant
sections from the files for the corresponding
resolutions to work:
1024-16.BIT - 1024x768 16 bit colour
1024-24.BIT - 1024x768 24 bit colour
1280-8.BIT  - 1280x1024 8 bit colour

Cut and paste the following extract AFTER
installing the windows driver:

- (taken from "1024-16.BIT")

	[Macx]
	EngineText=off
	DevCapStretchBlt=on
	DeviceBitMap=off
	VGADAC=on
	DesktopSize=1024x768
	Dithering=on
	Environment=Small Font
	PaletteManager=on
	PixelDepth=15
	ScreenSize=1024x768
	VGADither=off
	AutoEnvironment=off

From experience, the VGA 640x480 resoltion will
work with any colour depth combination.
The higher resolutions (800x600 through
1280x768) all work with 8-bit colour, but it
is very likely they will crash at higher colour
depths. The files above are 3 combinations,
which I found worked, others may work also, it
is a case of trial and error.

The supplied program for changing the resolution
will probably claim that there are
"no products installed". If this is so, then do
not use the other program for changing the
resolution, because it'll screw up and probably
set you down to EGA (640x350).

Change the resolution and screen depth in the
system.ini

Depth	PixelDepth Value
8-bit		8
16-bit		15
24-bit		16
32-bit		24
